The 2022 EM302 Quality Assessment Tests (QATs) were conducted during the NA136 engineering shakedown cruise around the islands of Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻifrom March 1stto the 10th. This year’s QAT was very important for two primary reasons:It was the first time to conduct a full suite of quality assessment tests following the identification, during NA126, of the vibrating fuel return pipe as a source of significant acoustic noise.
